A passenger on a private jet, named Steven Shaw, 37, was accused of attempting to kiss a flight attendant and threatening the pilot. He was armed and under the influence of mushrooms.
Steven Shaw was arrested by Port Authority police at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, USA, on Tuesday (28), after allegedly attempting to kiss a flight attendant and threatening the pilot. He was armed and under the influence of mushrooms.
According to police sources, Shaw was walking through the airport with his dogs when he saw the private jet with its door open and decided to enter. He allegedly tried to kiss the flight attendant and assaulted the pilot in the cockpit.
The pilot called the police, who found the suspect inside a bathroom at an Atlantic Aviation building. Authorities reported that Shaw was partially undressed and said he would “kill” anyone who tried to enter.
Shaw told officers that he was under the influence of mushrooms. Investigators found a 9mm gun on the private jet.
“This was a serious security breach. You had an armed man entering an airplane,” said a police source. “The pilot feared that Shaw was going to hijack the plane.”
Steven Shaw has been charged with several crimes, including assault and criminal trespassing.
